Scranton, IA (May 2, 2019) – Don Ross, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at New Way Trucks, Inc., has been awarded the National Waste & Recycling Association’s (NWRA) Member of the Year Award for demonstrating extraordinary service to the mission and goals of the organization. The award ceremony for this honor will be held during the Waste Expo 2019 in Las Vegas, Nevada. This is the second time in recent years that a New Way leader has been honored with this award.

Ross will be presented the award during the NWRA’s 2019 Award Breakfast on Tuesday, May 7th. In attendance at the award ceremony will be twenty other members of the New Way team. The Member of the Year Award is a very prestigious accolade from the association, with only two members being selected each year.

“I am honored and humbled to be recognized as the 2019 Member of the Year by my peers and fellow solid waste industry professionals,” said Don Ross. “I am proud to work in such a great industry for the last 32 years; an industry that provides such vital services to the public.”

Don Ross has been a member of the NWRA for many years and is a long time supporter of the organization. Michael McLaughlin, CEO of New Way Trucks, Inc., was also honored as the National Waste & Recycling Association’s Member of the Year in 2017. Recognition of New Way leaders reaffirms how committed the company is to creating new and innovative solutions in the refuse truck industry.

“All of us at New Way are always impressed with Don’s dedication to our company as well as the industry in general,” said Johnathon McLaughlin, Executive Vice President at New Way Trucks, Inc. “Great dedication and motivation of the entire team are what opens the door to new and exciting innovations here at New Way.”

Along with winning a coveted industry award, New Way is making a big presence at this year’s Waste Expo with the unveiling of their latest rear loader truck design, the Cobra High Compaction (HC).
