New Way Completes Delivery of 36 CNG Trucks to Waste Pro

Florida – Coordinating with the opening of Waste Pro’s $15 million compressed natural gas(CNG) fueling station, New Way has delivered 36 CNG-powered King Cobra garbage trucks to the southern waste collection giant. The delivery signifies New Way’s growing influence in the CNG market, where New Way’s full fleet of CNG-ready vehicles, reputation of quality and low total operating cost have helped them gain popularity, says Phil Allen, New Way VP of Sales and Marketing.

Waste Pro, which operates in 60 of Florida’s 67 counties, built its first-ever CNG fueling station in Ft. Pierce, FL, and partnered with Clean Energy, the nation’s largest provider of compressed natural gas, in the design and construction of the facility. Waste Pro Senior Vice President Ron Pecora believes the New Way rear loader trucks will help Waste Pro reach their environmental and cost savings goals with ease. “These trucks have no emission. It’s pretty impressive,” Pecora said, adding that the trucks are quiet, unlike their noisy, gas guzzling counterparts. “Compressed natural gas costs less than diesel and our country has an enormous supply of natural gas,” Pecora said. “It’s good for our country to use fuel that already exists in the U.S.”

Phil Allen believes such a large sale underscores their credibility in the large national arena. The family-owned manufacturer has seen incredible growth in the past few years alone, and they thank Waste Pro for being their largest repeat customer over the years, purchasing more than 300 trucks from New Way. “We appreciate their trust, their reliance on us to meet their most high-tech needs and the fact they keep returning to New Way for their equipment needs,” said Allen.
